Bumper Spring/Standing Valve Combination
  • Calculated spring force
  • Convenient one-piece assembly
  • Installed via wireline or may be dropped

APPLICATION:
Installed inside the tubing string when there is an API® pump seating nipple.

FEATURES:
Two pieces of equipment are combined to create one assembly. A bumper spring, to absorb plunger arrival, along with a standing valve (with or without ball and seat).

BENEFITS/ADVANTAGES:
Combining the spring and the standing valve creates a piece of equipment that is easier, quicker and less expensive to install and retrieve. May be used as a standing valve (with ball and seat added), or the standing valve cage (without ball and seat) may be used as a convenient hold down. Usually installed with wireline, but in some cases can be dropped from the surface.
